These are a few highlights from my reading in November of 2004. How does time go so quickly?
Skywriting by Jane Pauley
I grew up watching Jane Pauley and Bryant Gumbel on the Today show, and still enjoy hearing about her.
Awake by Elizabeth Graver - I remember this book simply because the child in this book suffers from the disease where sunlight is fatal.
Citizen Girls by Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus - these two women teamed up to write the Nanny Diaries and although this one doesn't have very good rating on Goodreads, I remember enjoying this novel which paid tribute to college graduates everywhere who were busy trying make ends meet while working mundane jobs they felt they were overqualified for.
A Redbird Christmas by Fannie Flagg - you can't go wrong with Fannie Flagg. This is a nice little Christmas novella that is perfect for the holiday season.
Outside Valentine by Liza Ward - I'll admit to remembering the cover of this novel more than the plot, but as I look at the synopsis am sure my interest in this novel came from the fact that this based on true events that occurred in Nebraska in the 1950s.

I think Flagg wrote Whistle Stop Cafe right? I liked that one but her style of writing is not something I seek out anymore. Funny, because they typically are feel good books and who doesn't want to feel good? Apparently me!
I am trying really hard to finish my book club book Five Days at Memorial. The first half is riveting and the second half is a real snooze.
