Non-Fiction Tuesday: Live Wire

A few years ago I would have told you that I didn't read celebrity memoirs.  But now I've read a bunch of them - and enjoyed them.  My favorite way to read celebrity memoirs is via Audible, especially when the audio narrator is the person who wrote their memoir.  (Katie Couric and Michelle Obama both narrate their memoirs which has made listening to them delightful).

My most recent memoir is Kelly Ripa's Live Wire: Long Winded Short Stories, which I didn't listen to (although I'm sure it would be fantastic that way), but spent my treadmill runs early each morning enjoying.

Kelly Ripa has been an on-air personality for a couple decades.  Although I don't regularly watch anything she's on, I have kept up on her enough to be familiar with the major events in her life.  I loved reading her humorous stories about her husband, her kids, her time on air with Regis Philbin, and life in general.  Kelly truly comes across as the girl next door, although her lifestyle is a far cry from mine.

This is a fun memoir that I enjoyed reading and have been telling friends to give this one a try whether they are a Kelly Ripa fan or not.
