Friday Five: Summer 2025 Is A Wrap

School is literally right around the corner.  Although the first contract day is on Tuesday, I was working much of this week and will be back full time on Monday so that I can get things ready for the school year.

My job has changed considerably for this upcoming year.  Instead of one middle school library, I will be in charge of three elementary buildings and the same middle school.  This is all a little overwhelming.  They haven't taken any of our current duties off our plates, and the pay hasn't changed.  And yet, I love working in the school library and I love getting kids excited about reading.  It's just so hard to realize that the job I love doesn't exist anymore, and that the district values libraries so little.

As I looked through the various things I found to share this week, it does appear that fall clothing is here.  And as tempted as I am to buy things, I am trying to show some restraint.  Unfortunately, it's so easy to click a few buttons and have something shipped to your front door.  And I don't even feel the money leaving my pocket.

Enjoy this week's finds:
