TLC Book Tour: Inheriting Edith

Inheriting Edith by Zoe Fishman is a look at the lives of two women who find themselves thrown together.

Maggie is a single mom to toddler Lucy.  When she finds that her former employer, Liza, has left her her home in Sag Harbor, it is a deal too good to turn down.

Edith, Liza's mom, is living in the house in Sag Harbor. Since Liza owns the house, she has to accept that Maggie and Lucy are moving in.

Since Edith has recently been diagnosed wit Alzheimer's, she knows her time being independent won't last forever, but she certainly didn't sign up for a roommate, and especially  not one with a young child.

Each woman has their own problems they must face, and despite being thrown together, find a way to co-exist in relative peace.  I didn't feel like there were any huge revelations in this novel, but I liked how Fishman developed both characters and by book's ending I was satisfied that both women were going to be OK.

I haven't read anything by Fishman before, but I've looked to see what else she's written, and am excited to read from her backlist of titles.

Thanks to TLC Book Tours for providing a copy of this book for my review.  All opinions expressed are, as always, my own.

I like being able to close a book and feel that the characters are all going to be ok. It is very comforting.

Thanks for being a part of the tour!
