Sunday Salon: Spring Break 2016

Spring Break 2016 is under way.  We're in the Wisconsin Dells for a few days with friends at the Wilderness Glacier Canyon resort.

We'll only be gone until Tuesday, but even if it is only a two day trip, I still needed to pack some reading material.  Here's a picture of a stack of books I brought along:

I'm almost finished with Miller's Valley by Anna Quindlen.  She never disappoints.  I'm not sure what I'm picking off my stack to start next, but in addition to the stack I brought, I also have tons of books just waiting for me on my kindle.

After we get back from the Dells, I need to do some serious cleaning and preparing for Big Sister's confirmation which occurs next weekend.  We also have Middle Sister's state volleyball tournament on Saturday next weekend, so this little trip is a great break from the stuff that awaits my return.

What about you? Do you have a spring break you are looking forward to? Any spring break plans?

Wow! Your Spring Break is early! Ours is not until April 4. We are just taking two days to enjoy a four day weekend in Palm Springs. My husband can't take time off really so that's all we can manage, plus the Teen is in New York for his choir tour until April 6 so we will grab him as soon as he returns and head to the desert.

BUT, since I am a youth leader at church, I get to go to camp this summer! Camp! I've never gone as a kid. My daughter and her friend will be there and some of the girls from my small group will be there too. It will be a blast but I worry about exhaustion. I am taking the week off from work to do it and now I am thinking I may need to tack on a day to recover.

Since I spend so much time in the YA world of book I didn't even know that Anna Quindlen had out a new novel. Sigh. Hope it is good.
