Blog Tour: White Collar Girl

As always, I am behind in my reading. I had plans of having finished this novel long before I was scheduled to blog on it.

However, I'm still rushing to the finish of White Collar Girl by Renee Rosen, which I am rushing to finish.  I have been pleasantly surprised by how much I've enjoyed this novel, set in 1950s Chicago.

Jordan has grown up in a family where she has rubbed shoulders with big names: Ernest Hemingway and Mike Royko to name two.

She wants to be a reporter, but she wants to report on the big news not the fluffy society pieces that are handed to her.  Men certainly are the ones with the power in the newsroom.

The newspaper aspect would have already hooked me, but Rosen throws suspense in, too. Jordan finds herself in the middle of a big story with some confidential information from Mayor Daley's office.

Although I wish I would have finished this one up before I had to blog on it, but honestly, I am glad I don't yet know the ending so that I don't have to worry about giving it away.

I will definitely be looking for more books from Rosen, and encourage anyone to pick up White Collar Girl. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it!

Yours is not the only positive thoughts I've read about this book. I'm attracted to the time period, the cover, and also the plot summary. Putting it on my list.
