Sunday Salon

Early this past week I relented and bought our pool pass. While my girls swam, this was my view.

I love sitting by the pool and reading.  Unfortunately I didn't do a good job with the sunscreen, forgetting my entire chest area. It is peeling now so it's been a good thing that we've had rain the past several days.

For other entertainment....

My girls attended a painting party this past week. My plan is to frame all three and hang them in our family room.

We did a lot of indoor things after three consecutive days of rain.  Sigh.  I loved the few hot days we did have and hope for many more.

This coming week I am working on library standards and benchmarks for three days as a part of a committee.  Even though I will be busier, I know I am much more productive when I have a schedule, and might get more done in these three days than I did in the past week.

We are also leaving for vacation on Friday - and there is always a lot to get ready for when planning to be gone.

Tonight for supper it was only my husband and me.  Although this didn't fill him up, I made a healthy mix of peppers, onions and chicken in my wok with creole seasoning.

It's almost time to get to bed, which means I need to get things ready for a dash out the door in the morning.  I'm a little out of practice at this lately!

I hope you don't have a book-shaped sunburn-free spot after your pool stint. LOL

My daughter is out of school this week and since she is too old for the camp she used to attend, she is bored out of her mind and upset with me for not being a SAHM. My son was supposed to be home for a few days this summer and I had planned on him just watching her at home but he got job! So now the poor girl has to go to work with dad. So boring. I tried to sign her up for cheer camp but she told me she will only consider running or acting. Well, she is already doing acting and the other acting camps out there are like $500 a week! And no, they are not training for track right now. I wanted to put her on a swim team but this year they changed the times to evening which conflicts with the show. I wanted to sign her up for junior lifeguards but missed the cut off. I had the wrong date/age info.

I think I will at least buy swim passes and take her after work when I can.
