Sunday Salon: Easter and a Face Lift

Easter Greetings!  We celebrated Jesus rising from the dead this morning, attending church with my mom, my brother and sister-in-law and their five children.  Afterwards it was brunch at my mom's followed by a few egg hunts, a walk in the creek and a birthday cake for my niece Drea.

We couldn't ask for better weather - sunny and warm - a perfect day to be be outdoors.

Little Sister worked hard at building her fort yesterday with a little help from Dad and Big Sister.  I'm hoping all the hard work isn't destroyed by the rain we are supposed to get this week.

I've been reading up a storm this weekend, but also working on laundry, cooking a bit, and preparing for the coming week.

In case you didn't notice, I decided it was time to give my blog a little TLC, and my brother has offered to help me change the layout a bit.  We worked on it for a while today, but with eight children running around, didn't finish the job.  So, you'll possibly (hopefully) be seeing a few more changes in the upcoming weeks on my blog. He's much more skilled than I am at this type of thing, but with a full-time job and five children I feel guilty asking for too much of his time.

Although it is beautiful out, I'm still ready for my post-Easter lunch nap, ready to curl up with a good book.  The picture below shows the goodies that found their way to my mailbox this week.

Enjoy your Easter!  Happy Spring, everyone!

Happy Easter! We had brunch and now the ham is cooking away. It's been a relaxing day.

BTW, I received Beach Town too!

Happy Easter! We had a lovely day, too. My kids have sadly outgrown egg hunts but they still like to eat easter candy, so we're good. My Sunday Salon

I like the update! And what a nice stack of books. Some certainly look like they'll be fun in the summer. Glad your weather has improved and crossing my fingers for the fort. LOL
