Sunday Salon

After hearing my complaints about the never ending winter we just experiences, I am happy to report that I have nothing but good things to say about our weather now. It is beautiful!  I love the heat.  I love the humidity. I love feeling the sun beating down.

Yesterday we had an all day soccer tournament for Middle Sister and Little Sister which allowed us to spend the entire day outside.  I have quite a tan/burn.  I tried to take a picture of my husband's sunburn, but he is cleverly avoiding the camera.  I have never seen a burn quite like it, and he clearly didn't continue to put sunscreen on after initially slathering himself up.

Last night we were invited out with a few other couples to have supper and go out for drinks.  I am not really a "go out for drinks" type of person, especially going from bar to bar for drinks. So I had my token Smirnoff, and then became the designated driver.  However, I was still exhausted this morning as were my husband and children.

I can't say we have accomplished a lot, but I did manage to get some food prep done for the week, shopped for groceries, and lined up oboe lessons for the summer for Big Sister.

The grass still needs to be cut and Mary Kay Andrews' new book is just waiting for me to get a chance to really get caught up in it.

We have six days of school left and my girls just have three.  Time is flying by.  I am so ready to get to spend more time outside. How about you? What have you been up to this weekend?

I am not into bar hopping but when people post pics of their elaborate cocktails I sometimes want one. Especially the awesome Bloody Mary pics I keep seeing on Sunday Mornings!

The high school finishes school this week but there is only one week off and then summer school at the college. FUN! My daughter is not off until 6/17 but her camp starts on 6/16. I think the district was on furloughs and then added days back because it's not in sync now but oh well, she will start two days late.
