Teaser Tuesday

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
Grab your current read
Open to a random page
Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

"She toweled off, went into the bedroom, and put on a white transparent V-neck with a pair of two hundred dollar gray and black silk panties she'd gotten year ago at La Petite Coquette. She wanted to look available but not too available, and Theo had always liked boyshorts, high, full-coverage underwear that reminded him of old Sears catalogs (331)."

Prospect Park West by Amy Sohn

Check back on Friday for my review of this book.

This one sounds fun -- and I must say, that cover is very attractive.

Ok, mine is from "Reindeer with King Gustaf: What to Expect when your Spouse Wins the Nobel Prize." Very fun book (by Anita Laughlin) about well, what to expect when your spouse wins the Nobel Prize! And the account of this family's trip into Nobel land is very interesting. (Personally I loved the descripton of the banquet and parties, with golden this and shimmering that. It really shows how the prize affects not just the winner and spouse, but the entire extended family over the long term. It's quite the human drama.

From page 22: [[Todd shuffled sleepily into our dark bedroom, jiggled Bob’s toes, and said: “Dad, there’s some guy on the phone from Sweden. Can I go back to bed now?” Bob sat bolt upright and groped for the phone in the dark.]]
