It's Thursday already this week, which means I am very behind on posting. This is my last week of summer school (hurray), and after a quick trip to Montgomery, AL, scheduled for next week (I'll post about that later).
I have several different mystery series that I read and look forward to new installments when they are published. Although I don't another series to keep me busy, this one is set in Minnesota, and I love a story that takes place in a familiar location.
Ben Packard, a sheriff deputy for the small town of Sandy Lake, Minnesota, is new to his job when two teenagers go missing after sneaking out late one night. Time is of the essence since the teenage girl has diabetes and needs insulin.
Emmett Burr has prescription drugs the teenagers want, but he also has a basement full of secrets. The teenagers unwittingly have chosen the wrong person to steal from and a horrible sequence of events unfold.
I loved this book and am excited that there is a second installment coming out in August. If you like Allen Eskens' books, then this is a series for you.
