Monday Mini-Reviews: Yours Truly

I've been on a big non-fiction reading kick this month, but I've taken a break every once in a while to read some fiction.  Abby Jimenez is a new must-read author for me and I was excited to grab her book last weekend and ended up reading it right away.

Yours Truly is a fun rom-com that I read in one sitting.  Dr. Briana Ortiz has a successful career but she's desperate to find a kidney for her brother and she's still getting over her soon to be ex-husband's betrayal.  When Dr. Jacob Maddox begins working with Briana, she can't stand him - especially because she is sure he is going to get the promotion she thought she had tied up.

It won't surprise you to know that Briana and Jacob fall in love - but it definitely surprises them.  Jacob is also getting over a break-up and in order for his family to think he's ok, they need to see that he's found someone else.  Briana agrees to act like they are in a relationship.  Except that both of them are enjoying their new "relationship" and wishing it was real.

I liked this one a lot.  Jimenez let us see characters from a previous book which was fun, and I'm already looking forward to her next book.
