This past week has been exhausting! Over the course of the summer I've spent many (every) days sleeping later than 4 AM and have even treated myself to many mid-day naps. This week there was none of that. I have had to face reality and join the rest of the working world. I always feel good when I am productive, but still don't find the rat-race all that enjoyable.
Anyway.....tonight is the first home football game. School is underway for my girls, too. And fall is literally right around the corner.
Most of what I found this week is fall-like. As hard as it is to say goodbye to summer, I am ready.
1. Women's Tretorn Marley Canvas Sneakers in Liberty Floral - I need a new pair of tretorns desperately. I have worn my last pair out and they look pretty shabby at this point. A classic - and plain- white pair might be the best bet, but these floral ones are really calling my name.
2. Striped Hooded Open Cardigan -it's no surprise that I found something in stripes to share. I love this cardigan that I could wear to work or with a pair of jeans.
3. Bliss Jacket - and yes, stripes again. I've looked at this jacket several times. I like the zipper that sits diagonally. However, at this point the only customer review gives it just one star. I'd love to see some more positive reviews before I spend money on it.
4. Keds x Rifle Paper Co. Triple Decker Juliet Floral - and apparently floral shoes are in style right now -or I'm just now noticing them. I love this pair, too.
5. America Needs Librarians T - unfortunately this shirt is sold out. Maybe because everyone needs to wear this shirt and share this message. I'd love for it to be back in stock soon.
6. Girlfriend Stripe Chinos in Gold - many years ago I had a pair of gold cords that I liked. I got rid of them several years ago but every once in a while wish I still had them to dig out. Gap has these chinos in many colors right now - including gold.
7. Print Flirty Wrap Dress - I love looking at dresses. This is discounted right now and I feel like I could get a lot of use out of it, but it is doubtful I would ever wear it to school. I need comfort as I crawl around on the floor reshelving books, and dresses just aren't practical for that.
8. Asics Gel Cumulus-18 Running Shoes - I am a Brooks running shoe person, but have a pair of Asics I've loved to wear while walking. These are only $39, which I think is a steal. My husband can't understand why I care about what color my shoes are- after all, fit is more important, but who wants a pair of ugly shoes? Luckily I really like the colors in these.
9. To All The Boys I've Loved Before - on Saturday night Little Sister and I watched this. Eventually the other family members who were gone trickled in to the family room and joined us. I hadn't read the first book in years and seeing this made me remember how much I loved it. I read the second book this summer, and had a hard time getting in to it because it had been so long between me reading the first book and the second, so this movie really helped me appreciate the second book as well. And as soon as the credits were rolling, I asked Middle Sister to get me the third book.
10. Crazy Rich Asians - as a last hurrah to summer I took the girls to see Crazy Rich Asians. I have read the book and absolutely loved this movie.
That's it for me this week. What's caught your eye?
