This book has been on my radar for a few years now, and initially I didn't really have any interest in it. However, it was the perfect read for me right now.
I love a good rom-com and one centered around academia is even better.
Olive hasn't ever really had a real romantic relationship, but when her best friend develops feelings for Olive's ex-boyfriend, Olive wants to help that relationship blossom. In order to do that she must convince Anh that she has moved on to someone else. Which is what causes her to randomly kiss Adam Carlsen, a professor known for his less than pleasant demeanor. Both of them have a reason for pretending they are in a relationship, but even though the relationship is not real, it starts to feel very real.
The predictability of this story didn't bother me a bit and I finished this one wanting to read more by Hazelwood.
My attention span has been short these days, and this was the perfect book for me right now.
