Summer Reading 2022

A couple years ago I shared a summer reading list that I actually read!  This was a once in a lifetime event it seems, and the list I shared last year was thoroughly unsuccessful.  And yet, I felt the need to make a list of books I want to read this summer.

Here is my list for summer of 2022:

1. The Homewreckers by Mary Kay Andrews

2.  Marrying the Ketchups by Jennifer Close

3.  The Stationery Shop by Marjan Kamali

4.  Last Summer on State Street by Toya Wolfe

5.  Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry

6.  The World In Between by Kenan Trebincevic

7.  The Peach Rebellion by Wendelin Van Drannen

8.  Unlikely Animals by Annie Hartnett

9.  Gilead by Marilynne Robinson

10.  Tokyo Dreaming by Emiko Jean

11.  Olga Dies Dreaming by Xochitl Gonzalez

12.  The Island of Sea Women by Lisa See

13.  Finding Me by Viola Davis

14.  Devil in the White City by Erik Larson

15.  Cover Story by Susan Rigetti

16.  River of the Gods by Candace Millard

I've already finished one of these books and have a second one in progress.  So, I'll check in periodically and report back on how things are going.  It always helps to have put my plans in writing in an effort to create a little accountability for myself.

What does your summer reading look like?

Gilead and Lonesome Dove are two favorites of mine.

I hope to read River of the Gods, too.
