Friday Five: Spring Is Right Around the Corner

This week turned out a bit differently than I expected.  After arriving at school on Monday morning I felt like something was not quite right with my right eye.  I tried eye drops which did no good.  I called the eye doctor and they told me I should come in.  And from there I went straight to a retina specialist.  There is a hemorrhage behind my right eye which has leaked into the vitreous gel of my eye.  I can see just fine with my left eye. My right eye is full of floaters and what appears to be millions of microscopic pieces of sand floating around (this is more noticeable when staring at a computer screen).  

I am sleeping sitting up and not running on the treadmill until I go see the doctor again next week.  They told me that I might see a little improvement in the next few weeks, and that healing this is slow.  

I'm not a very patient person, but I am trying my best to adjust and really praying that my eye returns to normal.  I'm glad my retina is not detached or torn but I really am hoping for two working eyes sometime soon.
