After one glorious week off this summer, summer school will be starting on Monday. I've got a group of 14 fourth graders I get to spend six weeks with, and even though I'm not quite ready yet for Monday, I'm excited about doing this, too. I've spent a few days this week getting my classroom ready and have several things I need to prepare tomorrow yet. I feel like a brand new teacher.
Here are a few things I've found to share with you this week. It's hot, hot, hot here in Iowa and I'm loving every minute of it.
10. Mare of Easttown- I can find plenty of things I want to watch, but rarely do I actually watch the shows I hear about. This is only seven episodes so far but I've already devoured six episodes in this past week. I love this show.
That's it for me this week. What's caught your eye?

Good luck with summer classes. We LOVED Mare of Easttown, hope there will be a season 2.
Hope your first week of classes goes well. Will you assign a summer reading list?
It's set to hit 109 today so I am in full summer mode. The problem here is how dry we are. We have had less than two inches of rain all year long. Our hillsides are bone dry and just spontaneously catch on fire from reflections, etc. I DREAD this fire season which won't end until late November.
Everyone is talking about Mare of Easttown. I need to check it out.
We loved Mare!!!
