Friday Five: Polar Vortex Edition

It's hard to believe that I haven't been to school this week at all.  (I'm writing this post on Thursday night and at this point I do believe we will make it to school tomorrow).

I've become good at sleeping in, taking naps, and accomplishing nothing much.  Getting up to an alarm and being on a schedule will be a shock to my system, but I am really hoping we get to school tomorrow. Being cooped up this long isn't really as much fun as it would seem.  And I just keep thinking of the days being added on to the end of the school year.

I did find a few items that caught my eye this week but despite having plenty of time to shop online, managed not to spend any money myself.

1.  Robyn Jersey Tee - I'm always in the need of some nice tees that I can wear with shorts or jeans - not just a tee I'd wear to work out. I love this new one from Boden.

2.  Perfect Fit Turtleneck in Stripe - I love this turtleneck which is selling out fast. It's no longer available in my size and I'm bummed that I didn't discover it sooner.

3.  Spotted Leopard Print Bow Blouse - I feel like this is a staple item that would go well with a pair of black pants.  It's still dressy, but also comfortable.

4.  Rose Poetry Sweater - since we're in the middle of a polar vortex, warm sweaters sound like a great thing to grab right about now. This is one that looks cozy - and I like the floral design as well.

5.  Stripe Pullover - I like the colors of this sweater, which seem a bit brighter and almost spring like, but is still something I'd wear to keep me warm in the middle of winter.

6. Directional Ribbed Crewneck Sweater - I brought a green sweater before Christmas that I love. I also get many compliments on it.  This sweater and the interesting pattern of the stitching is one I'd love to have around.

7.  Gap Blackout Medium Impact High Neck Strappy Sports Bra - I'm always in need of more exercise apparel, and I especially like the high neck on this one, which makes it just a little different than the rest of the sports bras I own.

8.  Ruffle Neck Pullover Sweater - this sweater comes in a variety of colors and is a nice staple for any wardrobe.

9.  I'm Booked Socks - I like book-ish shirts, but I can also be persuaded to wear a nice pair of bookish socks.

10.  Mobituaries with Mo Rocca - I've only listened to one episode (Episode 2) of this podcast, but I loved it.  There are three episodes already available, and this is one I'm adding to my weekly podcast rotation.

So how about you? What's caught your eye this week?

I just paid my Christmas bills so I have bought or looked at a thing. Trying hard not to, actually. You tempt me with all the stripes though.
