Here are the highlights from my reading 10 years ago in March:
I still remember Queen Noor's memoir and would happily read that again. I find Lisa Halaby a very intriguing person.
The Master Butcher's Singing Club by Louise Erdrich is the only book I have read by this author. The story was just too odd for me. I've been encouraged by Peaceful Reader to read another of Erdrich's books, so perhaps I will giver her a second chance.
Right now I am working on a Tomie de Paola unit with my second graders. I love his 26 Fairmount Avenue series and wish he would add a few more installments.
I never read the entire Left Behind series for adults or for kids, but I did read a few of them. I made it to book #3 it appears in the teen series.

I am a HUGE Tomie de Paola fan! I bet your 2nd grade kiddos are loving this unit :) And that Razzle cover cracked me up - doesn't the guy on the cover look a little like young Brad Pitt?
