It's time for another Book Blogger Hop!
Last week I meant to participate, but ended up getting busy with other things, and just never got around to it.
I hope I can find some time to hop around and visit some new blogs this weekend.
Here are a few I've added to my growing list over the past week:
There is also another twist to the Hop this week. The question posed to all bloggers is for us to share our name and why we started blogging.
My name is Tina (which should be obvious from my blog's name). I started blogging in November of 2008, after thinking about it for quite a while. I actually began blogging for The Des Moines Register newspaper in the fall of 2005, something I still do today. I enjoyed the newspaper blog, but also wanted to write about childrens and YA books since I spend my days as a school librarian and am passionate about kids books. I review a bit of everything on my blog, but write about adult books only for The Register. I enjoyed reading so many other childrens lit blogs for quite a while before deciding to start my own blog, and also felt like if I began my own blog I would perhaps feel more compelled to read many of the YA and childrens books that are sitting on my TBR stacks that seem to get pushed to the back because of all the library books I have checked out. While I will never be caught up, I have read a greater number of childrens and YA books in the past year and a half.
